What’s Included
- Marlin Model 1895G Guide Gun rifle (as described)
- Receiver filler screws installed
Designed for quick handling in dense cover, the Guide Gun’s 18.5-inch forged-steel barrel shortens overall length without sacrificing the .45-70’s renowned power. The 1:20 right-hand twist stabilizes the full range of modern and traditional bullet weights.
The forged-steel receiver is drilled and tapped at the factory, giving the buyer straightforward options for mounting a scout scope or low-profile optic. The top tang is also pre-drilled for a hammer-spur extension to improve clearance with mounted optics.
Walnut furniture with cut checkering offers a solid, non-slip grip, while the ventilated recoil pad helps manage the caliber’s stout recoil. Marlin’s straight-grip design keeps wrist angle natural when cycling the standard-size lever loop.
Iron sights are ready out of the box: a ramped brass-bead front sight (hood not present) pairs with a folding semi-buckhorn rear sight for fast alignment in the field. The full-length tubular magazine holds four rounds plus one in the chamber.
Safety features include a cross-bolt safety and hammer-block system, providing modern security without altering the rifle’s classic lever-action function.
