The Century Arms VSKA is a fully U.S.-made AKM-pattern rifle built to handle the 7.62x39 cartridge with modern materials and manufacturing. Introduced in 2018, it uses billet S7 tool steel for critical components, a 4150 chrome-moly steel barrel, and American maple furniture, giving shooters a rugged, domestically produced option that accepts standard AK magazines.

Built around a stamped steel receiver with a manganese-phosphate/black oxide finish, the VSKA offers classic AK durability in a 7.5-pound package. All major stress parts—bolt carrier, trunnion, and feed ramp—are machined from billet S7 tool steel, chosen for its exceptional shock resistance and toughness.
The 16.25-inch 4150 chrome-moly barrel is threaded 14×1 LH and paired with a 1:10 RH twist, giving owners a standard muzzle interface for brakes or suppressor mounts. An adjustable post front sight and tangent-leaf rear sight provide familiar AK sighting, while the long-stroke gas piston system keeps operation simple and reliable.
Century’s RAK-1 enhanced single-stage trigger delivers a lighter, crisper pull than typical surplus units. The safety lever includes a bolt-hold-open notch for easier range handling, and the rifle accepts any standard AKM pattern magazine or drum.
American maple stocks and handguards add a traditional look while keeping the rifle solid and lightweight. A black polymer pistol grip and integrated sling swivels round out the furniture, giving shooters a ready-to-run rifle straight from the box.
