The 1911 DS Prodigy AOS pairs Springfield Armory’s time-proven 1911 architecture with a modern, double-stack 9 mm frame and Agency Optic System slide cut. This full-size Prodigy variant ships with a factory-threaded match-grade bull barrel, high-capacity steel magazines, and a host of performance-driven upgrades that make it ready for duty use or competition straight out of the box.
Condition

The Prodigy’s double-stack frame boosts on-board capacity to as much as 26+1 rounds while retaining the familiar 1911 single-action trigger and grip geometry. A flared, extended alloy magazine well promotes fast, fumble-free reloads, and the polymer grip module carries aggressive stippling for secure purchase.
Its 5-inch, match-grade stainless bull barrel is factory threaded ½-28 for suppressors or compensators. A full-length two-piece guide-rod system tames recoil, and the barrel’s 1:16 right-hand twist delivers consistent accuracy with common 9 mm loads.
The Agency Optic System (AOS) slide cut—co-developed with Agency Arms—accepts interchangeable plates for popular micro red-dot footprints. Forward and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation, while a green fiber-optic front and serrated rear sight provide a clear sight picture when running irons.
A black Cerakote finish covers the carbon-steel slide and frame for enhanced wear and corrosion resistance. Performance touches include a skeletonized commander-style hammer, lightweight trigger with overtravel stop, bilateral thumb safeties, and an accessory rail for weapon lights or lasers.
