What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson lead-bullet muzzle brake/compensator (installed)
- Smith & Wesson compensator removal hex wrench
- Pair of Smith & Wesson internal safety lock keys
The Model 460 XVR’s interchangeable compensator system lets you switch between factory-supplied muzzle brakes to match bullet type and recoil preference. The included lead-bullet brake reduces muzzle rise and directs gases forward for faster follow-up shots.
A full-lug, integral-rib barrel is drilled and tapped for an optic base, making the revolver ready for scope or red-dot mounting without gunsmithing. The green fiber-optic front sight and fully adjustable rear sight provide a bright, precise sight picture when shooting irons.
The five-round fluted cylinder, matte brushed stainless finish, and black rubber finger-groove grip strike a balance between strength and shooter comfort. An external hammer supports both double-action and single-action fire, while the tuned trigger delivers a smooth pull and crisp break.
Chambered in .460 S&W Magnum, the XVR is also factory-rated for .454 Casull and .45 Colt, offering flexibility for everything from heavy hunting loads to lighter practice rounds. The internal keyed lock above the cylinder release adds an optional layer of security when the revolver is stored.
