Canik METE MC9 Prime 9mm – Optics-Ready, Integrally Compensated Micro-Compact With 17+1 Capacity
The METE MC9 Prime distills Canik’s competition DNA into a 6.7-inch micro-compact that still carries 17+1 rounds of 9 mm. An integrally compensated, fluted, chromoly barrel works with matching slide ports to cut recoil and muzzle rise, while an optics-ready slide and tritium night sights give the pistol out-of-the-box versatility. Add a gold-anodized flat trigger, ambidextrous controls, and a $649 MSRP, and this Prime-series MC9 becomes a feature-rich carry option straight from the factory.

The Prime variant builds on the METE MC9 platform released in 2025, adding an integrally compensated slide-and-barrel system that vents gas upward to tame flip without extending length.
A 3.64-inch fluted chromoly barrel pairs with matching top ports and lightening cuts in the black-nitride slide, keeping weight down and maintaining balance during rapid strings.
Carry capacity stays maximized thanks to the proprietary 17-round flush-fit magazine—remarkable in a grip this short. A reversible, vertically-serrated release and ambidextrous slide-stop lever make the controls friendly to left- or right-handed shooters.
The flat-faced, gold-anodized aluminum trigger breaks at a measured 90 degrees and resets short for quick follow-up shots—technology drawn directly from Canik’s competition line.
An optics cut accepts Shield RMS-C or Holosun-K pattern micro red dots and allows direct co-witness with the Night Fision tritium 3-dot sights (orange-ring front, serrated rear), giving users immediate sighting options in any light.
