This Bushmaster XM15-E2S Quick Response Carbine (QRC) is an optics-ready AR-15 platform produced during the company’s 2014–2019 Huntsville, Alabama run. It combines a lightweight 16-inch chrome-moly barrel, low-profile gas block, and forged 7075-T6 receivers to deliver a nimble, modern carbine that’s ready for a red dot or magnified optic the moment it arrives.

The QRC configuration deletes the traditional front sight tower in favor of a low-profile gas block, opening an uninterrupted top rail for optics of your choice. A two-piece CAR/M4 polymer handguard keeps weight down while shielding the carbine-length gas system.
The 16-inch lightweight barrel is button-rifled from chrome-moly steel, features a 1:8 right-hand twist for reliable stabilization across common 55- to 77-grain bullets, and ends in standard 1/2x28 threads for easy muzzle-device installation.
Upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a black hard-coat anodizing. Bushmaster’s laser-etched 2-D Data-Matrix code serialization adds modern manufacturing traceability.
A six-position collapsible polymer stock, A2-pattern grip, and 10.5-inch length of pull give shooters multiple fit options while maintaining the carbine’s compact profile. The included 10-round Lancer magazine offers durable polymer construction with steel feed lips.
