The Taurus Model 905 offers the unusual convenience of chambering the common 9 mm Luger cartridge in a compact, five-shot revolver platform. Current-production and built on Taurus’s small frame, it pairs an alloy-steel construction with a matte black oxide finish, a soft rubber grip, and the security of both a transfer-bar safety and the Taurus Security System keyed lock.

One of the few revolvers currently chambered for 9 mm Luger, the Model 905 uses five-round Taurus Stellar Clips for proper headspacing and quick extraction, allowing shooters to share ammunition with their semi-auto pistols.
The compact frame is comparable in size to a J-frame, making this revolver easy to carry while still providing a full steel construction for durability. The two-piece barrel features a stainless steel liner for consistent accuracy and a rifling twist of 1:10 RH.
An exposed hammer enables both double-action and single-action firing, giving the shooter flexibility in trigger control. Fixed iron sights consist of a serrated ramp front and a squared-notch rear trench, providing a simple, snag-free aiming system.
Safety is handled by a transfer-bar mechanism and Taurus’s keyed hammer lock, both integral to the design and unobtrusive during regular use. The soft rubber finger-groove grip enhances recoil control without adding bulk.
The serial prefix “AEM” indicates post-2019 production, ensuring this revolver benefits from Taurus’s latest manufacturing updates.
