The AAC-SD variant was factory-built for sound suppressor use, featuring a carbon-steel heavy contour barrel with 5R rifling and a threaded 5/8-24 TPI muzzle. A thread protector is installed to keep the crown safe when a device is not mounted.
Remington’s three rings of steel receiver design anchors the action, while the X-Mark Pro style trigger delivers a crisp, adjustable pull suitable for precision work. The serial prefix “RR” places production after 2012 at the Ilion, New York facility.
The Magpul Hunter 700 chassis-style stock provides an internal aluminum bedding block, adjustable length of pull via spacers, textured pistol grip, and M-LOK slots along the forend for accessory mounting. A rubber recoil pad helps manage .308 Win recoil.
An AICS-pattern bottom metal conversion enables detachable magazines, enhancing reload speed and capacity options. The included 5-round PMAG keeps the profile compact while maintaining reliable feeding.
