Remington Model 1100 Field Grade 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun, 28" Vent Rib Barrel, 1979
Built in 1979, this Remington Model 1100 Field Grade pairs the company’s proven gas-operated action with a 28-inch vent rib barrel and fixed Modified choke. The result is a smooth-cycling 12 gauge that delivers the softer recoil the 1100 line is known for, wrapped in high-gloss walnut and factory floral scroll engraving on both sides of the receiver.

What’s Included
- Remington Model 1100 Field Grade 12 Gauge shotgun
The 1100’s gas system vents excess pressure forward, dampening felt recoil and helping shooters stay on target for follow-up shots. This feature, combined with the shotgun’s classic 14-inch length of pull, makes it comfortable to shoulder and quick to cycle.
The 28-inch carbon-steel barrel sports a vent rib topped by a single brass bead for an unobstructed sight picture. Its fixed Modified choke predates the Rem-Choke system, preserving the original 1970s configuration favored by many upland hunters.
Gloss-blued carbon-steel metalwork is accented by factory floral scroll engraving, adding visual appeal without compromising the shotgun’s field-ready focus. Both receiver sides carry this tasteful embellishment.
The high-gloss walnut stock and handguard feature cut checkering with fleur-de-lis accents, a white line spacer, and a black composition buttplate. Together they give the gun a balanced, full-size feel while maintaining classic Remington styling.
