Winchester Model 120 Ranger 20 Gauge Pump Shotgun, 28" Vent Rib, 1984
Built in 1984, this Winchester Model 120 Ranger offers classic Winchester reliability in a light-handling 20-gauge platform. A 28-inch steel barrel with vent rib and WinChoke system delivers versatile performance, while the aluminum-alloy receiver keeps weight down. The Ranger series was Winchester’s value-priced variant, yet it retains the proven rotating-bolt action derived from the Model 1200, making this gun a practical choice for field or range use.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 120 Ranger 20 Gauge pump-action shotgun
- WinChoke Improved Cylinder choke tube (installed)
Winchester mated a 28-inch, vent-rib barrel to the Model 120 Ranger, giving shooters a long sighting plane and quick target acquisition with the silver front bead. The WinChoke removable choke system adds versatility; the installed IC tube is ideal for upland birds or close-range clay targets.
The rotating-bolt, pump-action design borrows directly from the proven Model 1200, providing positive lock-up and smooth cycling. A 4+1 tubular magazine handles both 2 ¾-inch and 3-inch 20-gauge shells, expanding load options for hunting or sport shooting.
An aluminum-alloy receiver finished in gloss black anodizing keeps the gun balanced and easy to carry. The birch hardwood stock wears a satin walnut stain and a ventilated recoil pad, delivering a 14-inch length of pull for comfortable shouldering.
The ribbed hardwood forend offers a secure grip, while a cross-bolt safety located behind the trigger allows intuitive operation. Winchester’s oval “WP” proof on the barrel confirms factory testing and quality control.
