The heart of this Virtus pistol is its 11.5-inch, cold hammer forged carbon-steel barrel. Threaded 1/2-28 and cut with a 1:7 RH twist, it is ready for muzzle devices or suppressors and optimized for the 5.56 NATO cartridge.
Sig’s short-stroke gas piston system keeps fouling out of the action and offers a two-position gas block for reliable cycling when running suppressed. An internal guide-rod recoil system allows the pistol to fire with the brace folded, maintaining full function in confined spaces.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the magazine release, safety selector, and the upgraded Geissele Super Charging Handle. The Matchlite Duo two-stage trigger provides a crisp, consistent break for precise shot control.
The free-floating aluminum M-LOK handguard and full-length Picatinny top rail give ample real estate for optics, lights, and accessories. A side-folding polymer brace keeps overall length to a minimum while offering stable support when deployed.
