DPMS LR-308 AP4 .308 Win Semi-Automatic Rifle – 16-Inch Threaded Barrel, Collapsible Stock
The DPMS LR-308 AP4 is an early, large-frame AR design that helped establish today’s SR-25/DPMS magazine standard. Built in St. Cloud, Minnesota (serial prefix FFK), this carbine pairs a 16-inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel with a direct-impingement action and a 6-position collapsible stock, delivering a compact .308 Win platform that retains familiar AR-15 controls. A clean bore, threaded muzzle, and railed upper receiver make it ready for range or field use.

What’s Included
- One 10-round DPMS steel SR-25/DPMS-pattern magazine
This AP4 variant features a 1:10 RH twist rate that stabilizes a wide range of .308 Win bullet weights. The 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel is threaded 5/8-24 for easy attachment of muzzle devices or suppressors.
The upper and lower receivers are machined from aluminum and finished in a matte black hard-coat anodize. The top rail allows direct mounting of optics, while the two-piece ribbed polymer handguard keeps weight down and shields the shooter’s hand from barrel heat.
A 6-position collapsible stock brings the length of pull down to 11 inches at its shortest setting, making the rifle adaptable to different shooters or gear setups. The mini-carbine buffer unique to the LR-308 system helps manage recoil in the compact configuration.
Controls follow the standard AR-15 manual of arms, so magazine releases, bolt catch, and safety selector feel instantly familiar. The rifle’s acceptance of widely available SR-25/DPMS magazines further streamlines logistics.
