Ruger SR9c 9mm Compact Pistol, Stainless Slide, 3.4" Barrel, 17+1 Capacity, 2017 Prescott Production
Built in 2017 at Ruger’s Prescott, Arizona facility, this SR9c blends full-size performance with a carry-friendly footprint. The compact frame houses a 3.4-inch barrel, while the brushed stainless slide offers durable corrosion resistance. Adjustable 3-dot sights, a reversible backstrap, and multiple built-in safeties make this striker-fired Ruger a practical choice for defense or range use. Discontinued by Ruger, the SR9c remains notable as the first compact variant of the award-winning SR series.

What’s Included
- Ruger SR9c pistol
- Three 17-round Ruger factory magazines with grip adapter sleeves
- One 10-round Ruger factory magazine with finger-rest floorplate
Ruger engineered the SR9c to keep the SR series’ shootability while trimming overall length and height for easier concealment. With the included 17-round magazines, it matches the full-size SR9’s capacity; the 10-round magazine maintains a shorter profile for carry.
The slide is machined from stainless steel and treated with a brushed finish. Front and rear serrations allow confident manipulation, and a visible/tactile loaded chamber indicator offers immediate status checks.
A black glass-filled nylon frame keeps weight down and houses an integral accessory rail for lights or lasers. The reversible backstrap lets shooters choose between a flat or arched grip, tailoring reach and feel without tools.
Safety is layered: an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, trigger blade safety, striker blocker, magazine disconnect, and the chamber indicator all work together without complicating the manual of arms. Combined with crisp striker-fired operation, the SR9c earned NRA Publications’ 2010 Golden Bullseye “Handgun of the Year.”
