What’s Included
- Colt Single Action Army Sheriff’s Model Texas Sesquicentennial Commemorative revolver
This Sheriff’s Model wears a 4-inch ejector-less barrel, framed by twin 24K gold bands and a gold “TEXAS” scroll on the left side. The non-fluted cylinder carries gold Texas medallions, while the topstrap bears the historic “COME AND TAKE IT” motto in matching gold.
The high-polish royal blue finish contrasts with factory smooth synthetic ivory-tone grips, giving the revolver an unmistakable presentation-grade look straight from the Colt Custom Shop.
Every metal surface is carbon steel, including the frame, barrel, and cylinder, all treated to Colt’s mirror-like royal blue. Proofed with Colt’s “VP” triangle, the gun retains crisp edges and sharp markings with only minor superficial handling marks.
Action is traditional single-action only, driven by a case-colored spur hammer and a six-round cylinder chambered in .45 Colt. Fixed sights consist of a blade front and topstrap groove rear, as found on classic SAA patterns.
The revolver’s limited status—1,000 units with “TX” serial numbers—combined with factory 24K gold inlays and third-generation production lineage, makes it a standout collectible that also remains fully shootable thanks to its excellent bore and tight lockup.
