The 580-series stainless receiver features a heavier contour barrel and Ruger’s heritage Garand-style rotating bolt, enhancing durability and accuracy over earlier generations. Integral scope bases are machined directly into the receiver, allowing rock-solid optic mounting with the included rings.
The cold hammer forged stainless barrel is cut with six grooves at a 1:10" right-hand twist, optimal for stabilizing standard 123–125-grain 7.62x39 projectiles. Factory 5/8-24 threads accept the installed Ruger six-slot bird-cage flash suppressor or any compatible muzzle device.
Ruger’s reliable short-stroke gas piston system keeps fouling out of the action, while the ghost-ring rear and protected blade front sights provide fast target acquisition when running the rifle without glass.
The Archangel stock delivers an adjustable cheek riser, adjustable length of pull, rubberized pistol grip, integral Picatinny top rail, 6 o’clock forend rail, and QD sling sockets, giving the shooter modular ergonomics rarely found on a Mini Thirty.
