The 8mm Remington Magnum chambering makes this rifle stand out. Introduced in 1978 and offered only briefly, the cartridge delivers flat trajectories and magnum energy, yet factory rifles in this caliber remain scarce. Being a 1977 rifle with an early A-prefix serial number places this Model 700 among the first production examples.
The BDL trim level provides a Monte Carlo walnut stock with raised cheek-piece, impressed checkering, and a gloss finish that complements the high-polish blued receiver and barrel. A hinged floorplate simplifies unloading, and the internal box magazine holds three rounds of 8mm Remington Magnum.
Factory iron sights are still in place: a serrated ramp front base (hood removed) and an elevation-adjustable rear sight mounted on the barrel. Two-piece Weaver-style bases are already installed, so adding a scope is straightforward without altering the rifle.
