The lower receiver is laser-engraved with “UNITED STATES NAVAL AIR STATION JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA” and the base’s cartoon mascot, adding collectible interest without affecting function. This factory AM-15 uses forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers finished in durable hard-coat anodizing.
The 16-inch government-profile barrel is made from 4150 CMV steel, treated with a QPQ-nitride finish for corrosion resistance, and threaded 1/2-28 UNEF for muzzle devices. A fixed A2 front sight tower with bayonet lug provides proven durability, while the flat-top A4 upper offers a full-length Picatinny rail for optics.
Magpul’s MOE carbine-length handguard features M-LOK slots for accessories and protects the carbine-length gas system. A six-position collapsible stock and A2 pistol grip round out the Magpul furniture, giving the shooter familiar ergonomics and easy length-of-pull adjustment.
The rifle operates on a direct-impingement, semi-automatic action with a standard charging handle and selector safety. Multi-caliber markings on the lower allow flexibility for future caliber-appropriate upper assemblies.
