CVA Optima Pro .50 Cal Inline Muzzleloader, 29" Camo/Blue, 1-Shot Break Action
The CVA Optima Pro is a first-generation inline muzzleloader built for hunters who want magnum powder capability in a break-action platform. Its 29-inch heavy carbon-steel barrel, Realtree camo stock, and drilled-and-tapped receiver make it a practical, ready-to-hunt package that still accepts modern optics. This example offers the longer Optima Pro barrel paired with CVA’s CrushZone recoil pad and fiber-optic sights for fast target acquisition in low light.

What’s Included
- CVA Optima Pro .50 Cal muzzleloader (as described)
The 29-inch heavy barrel is optimized for full-charge black-powder loads, helping the shooter extract maximum velocity and reach from modern saboted projectiles. Its 1:28 twist rate stabilizes common .50 cal bullets, from light sabot rounds to heavy conicals.
A break-action inline design simplifies loading and cleaning. The exposed hammer provides straightforward ignition control, while the carbon-steel frame and matte-blued finish resist glare in the field.
The Realtree camo synthetic stock features a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, sling swivel studs, and CVA’s CrushZone recoil pad, delivering a 14.25-inch length of pull and comfortable recoil management during sustained range sessions.
Fiber-optic iron sights—red front ramp and fully adjustable rear—offer high visibility in thick timber or dim light. The barrel and receiver are drilled and tapped for CVA Dead-On or Dura-Sight bases, giving the option to mount a scope without additional gunsmithing.
Produced between 2003 and 2009, this first-generation Optima Pro predates the later Quick-Release Breech Plug, retaining the original solid breech design favored by many traditional inline shooters.
