What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 66-1 revolver
- Installed Crimson Trace rubber laser grips
The 66-1 variant was produced from 1977 to 1982 and represents the first generation of S&W’s stainless .357 Magnum revolvers. This example’s serial number dates it to 1980, placing it squarely in that sought-after production window.
The 2.5-inch round-butt configuration was marketed as the Combat Magnum for its compact profile and quick handling. Pinned barrels and recessed cylinders were phased out after the dash-1 run, making this feature set especially attractive to collectors.
Stainless steel throughout the frame, cylinder, and barrel delivers durability and a subdued brushed satin finish. The wide, checkered hammer spur and smooth combat-style trigger provide positive control in both double- and single-action modes.
Factory iron sights include a pinned red-ramp front blade and a fully adjustable rear with white outline, giving a crisp sight picture. The aftermarket Crimson Trace laser grips add a modern aiming aid while maintaining a comfortable, recoil-absorbing rubber profile.
