Built during the 1999–2004 Assault Weapons Ban era, this Olympic Arms PCR-99 blends its “Politically Correct Rifle” heritage with modern upgrades. A 20-inch chromoly steel barrel, forged 7075-T6 receivers, and flat-top Picatinny upper give it classic reliability and easy optics mounting. What’s Included
- Olympic Arms PCR-99 5.56 NATO rifle
- One 30-round aluminum USGI-style STANAG magazine
The PCR-99 was conceived to meet the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban requirements while preserving AR-15 functionality. Olympic Arms achieved this with a fixed stock and pinned muzzle device during production; this example now carries a threaded barrel capped with a standard A2 birdcage flash hider.
A 20-inch, A2-profile chromoly barrel delivers full rifle-length ballistics. The rifle-length gas system and fixed A2 front sight post maintain proven reliability, while the flat-top upper receiver’s Picatinny rail is ready for the optic of your choice.
Magpul’s MOE rifle-length handguard replaces the original guards, providing M-LOK slots for modern accessories without adding excessive weight. A matching Magpul MOE fixed stock offers a 13.25-inch length of pull and internal storage.
Controls benefit from a charging handle fitted with an extended latch for quick manipulation from either side. An UTG rubberized finger-groove pistol grip rounds out the ergonomic upgrades.
Forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers wear a black hard-coat anodized finish and bear the Olympic Arms lion crest. With the manufacturer having closed its doors in 2017, clean examples like this custom-equipped PCR-99 have become increasingly scarce.
