This Shield EZ features a 3.68" stainless steel barrel protected by Smith & Wesson’s black Armornite finish, the same treatment applied to the slide for corrosion resistance and a low-glare look. Front and rear cocking serrations, combined with the distinctive grip wings, offer multiple grip points for effortless slide manipulation.
An internal hammer fires from a single-action design, delivering a consistent trigger pull that many shooters find easier to manage than double-action striker models. A loaded-chamber indicator provides a quick visual and tactile status check, complementing the built-in grip safety and firing-pin block.
The glass-filled polymer frame houses a full-length internal steel chassis, lending rigidity without extra weight. A short accessory rail in front of the trigger guard allows mounting of compact lights or lasers.
