This 1953 Romanian-built TTC is a license-produced Tokarev TT-33 that has been tastefully modernized with a professionally applied two-tone Cerakote refinish and custom walnut finger-groove grips. Chambered in the high-velocity 7.62×25mm cartridge, it retains the robust Soviet design while adding collector appeal through its DG-prefix 1953 serial and thoughtful cosmetic upgrades.

Bore Condition: Good – Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Good rifling – Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The slide and frame display small, shallow scratches and finish blemishes that do not affect function. The Cerakote refinish presents an even, sand-colored tone on the frame, contrasting with the matte blued slide for a crisp two-tone look. Bore is bright and shiny throughout.

The TTC (Tokarev Cugir) follows the original Soviet TT-33 pattern and shares parts interchangeability, giving owners access to plentiful surplus components and accessories.
Its 4.6-inch chrome-lined barrel and locked-breech, short-recoil action harness the 7.62×25mm Tokarev round’s flat trajectory and velocities around 1,400–1,600 fps, making the pistol surprisingly soft-shooting for its power.
An import-required frame safety lever is discreetly mounted for U.S. compliance while preserving the Tokarev’s familiar single-action trigger, exposed rowel hammer, and 8+1 capacity.
The custom work stands out. A durable sand-colored Cerakote coats the frame, and wrap-around checkered walnut grip panels with finger grooves provide improved purchase and a warmer aesthetic than the original plastic slabs. A skeletonized three-hole trigger completes the upgraded controls.
Straight-cut rear serrations, fixed iron sights, and the pistol’s slim full-size profile keep the handling true to its Cold-War roots, giving this TTC equal appeal for range sessions, historical collections, and display.
