Forged from stainless steel, both the frame and slide feature a uniform satin finish that resists wear and maintains a professional appearance. The external extractor—unique to S&W’s 1911 design—adds reliable case ejection while preserving the pistol’s clean lines.
The E Series fish-scale serrations at the front and rear of the slide provide a secure grasp for press checks and manipulations. Top-rib serrations reduce glare along the sight plane, pairing well with the Novak-style 3-dot sights for a clear, fast sight picture.
A 5-inch stainless barrel delivers classic Government-model balance, while the 30 lpi checkering on both the frontstrap and mainspring housing enhances grip without being overly aggressive.
