SIG Sauer P238 Nitron .380 ACP Micro-Compact Pistol with 2.7" Barrel & Two Magazines
The SIG Sauer P238 Nitron combines the familiar 1911 manual of arms with a scaled-down, locked-breech design that tames .380 ACP recoil in a true pocket-sized package. This example wears the factory matte black Nitron slide finish over a hard-coat anodized aluminum frame, offering durable protection while keeping weight to a minimum. Serial block 27A places it outside SIG’s 2009 safety-upgrade range, adding peace of mind for buyers.

What’s Included
- SIG Sauer red cardboard factory box with matching serial label
- SIG Sauer P238/P938 owner’s manual (black cover)
- Mason MILO2AP cable lock, sealed in factory bag
- Chamber safety flag
- 1× 7-round SIG Sauer steel magazine with finger-extension baseplate
- 1× 6-round SIG Sauer steel magazine
Built on an aluminum alloy frame, the P238 keeps unloaded weight under a pound while still providing the strength needed for a locked-breech action. The smooth, single-action-only trigger and spurred hammer offer a crisp break familiar to 1911 shooters.
The carbon-steel slide wears SIG’s Nitron finish for corrosion resistance and features rear cocking serrations plus an external extractor for reliable case ejection. Steel 3-dot contrast sights come factory-installed for quick target acquisition.
A left-side manual thumb safety allows cocked-and-locked carry, and the extended 7-round magazine gives an additional round on deck along with a full-three-finger grip option. The pistol also ships with a flush-fit 6-round magazine for maximum concealability.
Because the P238 uses a locked-breech system rather than direct blowback, perceived recoil is noticeably softer than many other .380 ACP pocket pistols, making rapid follow-up shots easier.
