Detonics Pocket 9 – Rare Micro 9mm Stainless DA/SA Pistol, Seattle-Made, 3-Inch Barrel
Detonics produced the Pocket 9 for only two years, turning out roughly 1,700 examples. This stainless-steel micro-9mm offered double-action/single-action operation, a bushing-less cone barrel, and an integral gutter sight for snag-free carry—features that were ahead of their time in the mid-1980s. Serial number 95241 falls squarely within the documented production run, making this pistol noteworthy for both collectors and shooters seeking an early compact 9 mm design.

What’s Included
• Original Detonics branded cardboard pistol box with matching serial label

The Pocket 9’s all-stainless construction gives it corrosion resistance and sturdiness uncommon in micro pistols of its era. At just 3 inches, the bushing-less cone barrel locks solidly to the slide, aiding accuracy while keeping weight down.
The DA/SA trigger system allows a double-action first shot followed by crisp single-action pulls. A heel magazine release and slide-mounted manual safety reflect Detonics’ focus on secure concealed carry.
Integral gutter sights are machined directly into the matte stainless slide, eliminating protrusions that could snag during the draw. Rear serrations add traction for slide manipulation without disrupting the sleek profile.
Black Micarta grip panels with longitudinal relief cuts provide a firm hold while complementing the pistol’s stainless finish. Because so few Pocket 9s were produced, clean examples like this remain difficult to source, especially with the original box and all three factory magazines.
