The 22" medium-contour carbon-steel barrel is button-rifled with a 1:9 twist, balancing stiffness for accuracy with minimal added weight. The matte blued finish on both barrel and receiver resists glare and corrosion in the field.
Savage’s AccuTrigger lets the shooter adjust pull weight between approximately 2.5 and 6 lb without gunsmithing, promoting crisp, consistent breaks. A two-position safety sits just behind the bolt handle for intuitive operation.
The three-lug bolt head floats to ensure full contact with the locking lugs, aiding accuracy, while the 60° bolt lift provides ample scope clearance and faster cycling than traditional 90° designs.
The black synthetic stock keeps overall weight low and includes textured grip panels, front and rear sling studs, and a ventilated rubber recoil pad. A factory-installed scope rail allows quick optic mounting; the rifle ships without open sights.
