The simple blowback action is supported by a tungsten dead-blow weight, reducing bolt travel and perceived recoil. This design keeps follow-up shots smooth and fast without sacrificing reliability.
Ruger’s quick-disconnect takedown barrel system allows the carbine to break down in seconds without tools, ideal for compact storage or transport. The 1/2-28 threaded muzzle is factory-ready for suppressors or other muzzle devices.
Ambidextrous operation is built in: both the charging handle and push-button magazine release can be reversed to either side. The carbine ships with the Glock-pattern mag well installed; Ruger mag wells are available separately if you want to swap.
The stock’s glass-filled nylon construction, rubber butt-pad, and spacer kit let you adjust length of pull from 12.62 to 14.12 inches. Molded sling studs, a QD cup, and an accessory rail section on the fore-end add real versatility for slings and lights.
A full-length Picatinny rail is machined into the hard-coat anodized 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, pairing seamlessly with the protected blade front sight and adjustable ghost-ring rear sight for out-of-the-box accuracy or easy optic mounting.
