Walther PPQ M2 5-Inch Long-Slide .40 S&W Semi-Auto Pistol – Tenifer QPQ Finish, 10+1 Capacity, Quick-Defense Trigger
This German-made PPQ M2 Long-Slide pairs Walther’s full-size polymer frame with a 5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel, giving shooters a longer sight radius and added muzzle velocity in .40 S&W. Proof-dated “BE” (2014), it comes from the first production year of the 5-inch .40 variant and carries the FAX serial prefix shared across slide, barrel, and striker plate. Tenifer QPQ treatment hardens the steel and produces a matte black surface that resists corrosion, while the reversible push-button magazine release and fully ambidextrous slide-stop levers make the pistol adaptable to any user.

The extended 5-inch barrel is cut from steel then cold-hammer-forged for uniform rifling and long service life. Combined with the 7.2-inch sight radius, it supports faster follow-up shots and more precise sight alignment.
Walther’s Quick-Defense trigger breaks at a consistent 5.6 lb with a short, tactile reset, giving the PPQ its reputation for crisp, striker-fired performance straight from the factory.
The slide carries wide front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation and is finished in durable Tenifer QPQ. Proof marks “CIP N” and German nitro “BE” are present, attesting to the pistol’s 2014 Ulm proof and nitro test.
A molded 3-slot Picatinny rail is integrated into the dust cover for mounting lights or lasers, and the low-profile, screw-adjustable rear sight pairs with a pinned front blade to form a clear three-dot picture.
Production of .40 S&W PPQ variants ended in 2021, making this early-run Long-Slide an increasingly scarce option for shooters who prefer the .40 caliber in a duty-size format.
