Daniel Defense DDM4 M4A1 FSP 5.56 NATO Semi-Auto Rifle – 14.5" P/W SureFire Flash Hider, RIS II Rail, HRF Flared Magwell
This factory-built M4A1 FSP variant combines Daniel Defense’s USSOCOM-contract RIS II quad-rail upper with a pinned-and-welded SureFire SF3P flash hider for a legal 16-inch overall barrel length. The upper receiver group is the SOCOM-spec M4A1 FSP URG: a 14.5-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel in an M4 profile, capped with a SureFire SF3P flash hider that is permanently pinned and welded. This setup delivers the compact handling of a 14.5-inch barrel while meeting 16-inch overall length requirements.
The free-floating Daniel Defense RIS II FSP handguard (NSN 1005-01-586-5280, CAGE 3E2E2) preserves the full iron-sight radius with its fixed F-marked A2 front sight base, yet offers 12.25 inches of 6061-T6 aluminum quad-rail for accessories. T-marked slots on the flat-top upper and handguard simplify repeatable optic placement.
Forged 7075-T6 receivers wear a Type III hard-coat anodized black finish, while the handguard arrives in factory FDE for a two-tone look. The DDM4 lower features the HRF flared magwell for faster magazine changes and retains the Daniel Defense pistol grip with rubber over-mold texture.
The rifle operates via direct impingement and weighs just 6.74 lb unloaded. An adjustable, glass-filled polymer stock offers a 31.5- to 34.75-inch overall length, keeping the carbine maneuverable on the range or in the field.
This is a recent-production, US-made, collectible-grade AR-15 platform that blends military lineage with carefully selected upgrades—ready for duty, defense, or disciplined range work right out of the case.
