Davide Pedersoli Queen Anne “Brass” .50 Caliber Flintlock Pistol – Factory-Engraved Reproduction
This Davide Pedersoli Queen Anne Navy Pistol “Brass” is a modern, Italian-made reproduction of the early-18th-century English turn-off flintlock. Built in 2016, it pairs a polished brass cannon-profile barrel with bright steel lockwork and period-correct decorative engraving. The threaded breech allows traditional front loading or easy removal for breech loading, giving the shooter authentic versatility in a collectible piece.

Pedersoli’s Model S329 faithfully mirrors the compact Queen Anne pistols once favored by naval officers. The 7.81-inch brass barrel features elegant wedding-band rings at the breech and muzzle, and the swan-neck cock retains the crisp geometry of original examples.
The barrel’s turn-off design threads directly into the breech plug, letting the shooter remove it for loading ball and powder from the rear, just as historic firearms allowed. This mechanical detail sets the Queen Anne apart from standard muzzleloaders.
Factory engraving enhances authenticity: a repoussé floral side plate complements the bright steel lock, while a grotesque mask buttcap anchors the walnut grip. All engraving is cut at the Gardone Val Trompia factory, matching period motifs without modern shortcuts.
Both barrel and lock bear CIP Gardone black-powder proof marks and the 2016 date code, confirming modern proof testing and manufacture. Despite its historical lines, this pistol benefits from current metallurgy and quality control for reliable shooting with black powder loads.
The satin-oil walnut stock offers a comfortable, naturally finished grip. Absence of fixed sights reflects original Queen Anne patterns, encouraging point shooting at close range.
