Assembled by Century Arms, this AK63DS pairs original Hungarian surplus parts with a U.S.-made stamped receiver and brand-new barrel. The combination retains the rugged character of the AK-63D while meeting 922(r) compliance and modern production standards.
The 16.5-inch hammer-forged, chrome-mol y 4140 barrel is chrome lined, threaded 14×1 LH, and fitted with a factory AKM front sight base. The chrome lining resists corrosion and eases cleaning, while the 1:10 RH twist stabilizes standard 123-grain projectiles.
An under-folding steel stock locks solidly for firing and folds to a compact 26 inches overall, making storage and transport easy. The Hungarian palm-swell hardwood lower handguard and hardwood pistol grip deliver a classic appearance and comfortable control.
The RAK-1/RAK-2 enhanced trigger group eliminates traditional AK trigger slap and provides a smooth, consistent pull. Standard AKM iron sights include a hooded post front and an 800-meter tangent rear leaf, giving the shooter familiar sighting references.
This model is no longer in production, and its finite availability, combined with authentic Hungarian components, makes it a desirable addition for AK enthusiasts and collectors seeking a genuine parts-kit rifle with modern shooting reliability.
