Savage Arms B.Mag Sporter .17 WSM Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle | 22" Carbon-Steel Barrel, AccuTrigger, 8-Round Rotary Mag
The Savage Arms B.Mag Sporter is the first production rifle built around the high-velocity .17 Winchester Super Magnum cartridge. Its rear-locking, cock-on-close bolt is engineered to handle the cartridge’s 33,000-psi pressures, while a centerfire-style, thread-in barrel and barrel-nut headspacing deliver repeatable precision. Weighing just 4.95 lb and fitted with Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger, this lightweight rimfire offers a combination of speed, accuracy, and modern features that set it apart from other rimfire sporters.

The .17 WSM chambering is the fastest rimfire round available, and the B.Mag was purpose-built to exploit that speed. Savage’s rear-locking bolt keeps weight low while maintaining the strength required for the cartridge’s centerfire-level pressures.
A 22-inch carbon-steel barrel is thread-in and secured with Savage’s barrel nut for precise headspacing. The sporter profile keeps the rifle trim, and a recessed crown protects the rifling for consistent accuracy.
The user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows the shooter to fine-tune pull weight without gunsmithing, promoting clean, repeatable breaks. Combined with the 1:8 twist rate, the platform stabilizes the light, high-velocity .17 caliber bullets effectively.
A black polymer stock keeps overall weight at 4.95 lb and includes sling-swivel studs, textured grip panels, and a rubber butt-pad for practical field use. Two-piece scope bases are factory installed, so the rifle is ready for glass.
This example, serial prefix J415, remains in very good condition with an excellent bore, making it a strong candidate for varmint duty or rimfire target work.
