IMI Galil Model 329 AR .308 Win Pre-Ban Israeli Semi-Automatic Rifle
This rare, pre-ban Galil Model 329 AR is one of fewer than 700 .308-caliber rifles imported into the United States by Action Arms before the 1989 ban. Built on a milled steel receiver in Israel, it blends the proven Galil gas-piston system with a side-folding steel stock, chrome-lined 18-inch barrel, and tritium night sights—features that make it both a collectible and a capable shooter.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent – Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Rifling Condition: Excellent – Sharp lands and grooves.

The Model 329 AR is the 7.62×51 NATO/ .308 Winchester variant of the Galil family, featuring a robust long-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt that deliver reliable cycling under demanding conditions. The milled receiver and phosphate finish add strength and corrosion resistance.
A chrome-lined, 18-inch barrel with a 1-in-12 right-hand twist supports accuracy and longevity, while the combination muzzle brake/flash hider manages recoil and muzzle flash. The proprietary double-lug steel magazines lock in solidly and feed smoothly.
Shooters benefit from a hooded front post and dual-aperture rear sight, each fitted with original tritium inserts marked “H3” for low-light visibility. The right-side, angled charging handle allows convenient operation without breaking firing grip.
The side-folding tubular steel stock, polymer pistol grip, and two-piece polymer handguard keep weight manageable and provide a 14-inch length of pull. Folded, the rifle becomes compact for transport or storage, a hallmark of Galil design.
