The Ruger LC Carbine brings the flat-shooting 5.7x28mm cartridge into a compact, lightweight platform that shares magazines and key components with the Ruger-5.7 pistol. Built in 2024, this semi-automatic rifle uses a delayed-blowback bolt-over-barrel design for minimal recoil and impressive reliability. A reversible charging handle, ambidextrous safety, and side-folding 6-position stock make it adaptable for right- or left-hand shooters, while its spiral-fluted, nitrided chrome-moly barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for muzzle devices or suppressors.

Ruger engineered the LC Carbine around a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver finished with a Type III hard-coat anodize for durability and scratch resistance. The free-float aluminum handguard features M-LOK® slots and an uninterrupted Picatinny top rail, giving shooters ample space for optics, lights, or IR devices.
The 16.25" chrome-moly steel barrel is spiral-fluted to reduce weight and improve heat dissipation. Its 1/2-28 threaded muzzle accepts common 5.56-class suppressors and muzzle brakes, and a 1:9" right-hand twist stabilizes the light, high-velocity 5.7 projectiles.
Controls are fully ambidextrous. The magazine release and charging handle can be reversed without tools, while the safety selector is mirrored on both sides. Ruger Rapid-Deploy flip-up sights ride on the top rail for immediate out-of-box usability.
A polymer side-folding stock shortens the overall length for storage or transport and offers six positions of length-of-pull adjustment. A Picatinny interface at the hinge lets users replace the stock with alternative stocks or braces if desired.
