Built in March 2024 at SIG’s Newington, New Hampshire facility, this compact 9mm combines a Nitron-finished stainless slide with an extended-beavertail alloy frame, short-reset trigger, and tritium night sights. Its law-enforcement pedigree, durable construction, and reliable double-action/single-action system make it a standout example of the modern P229.

The compact 3.9 inch barrel and alloy frame keep weight manageable while preserving the shootability the P229 line is known for. Front and rear cocking serrations offer positive slide manipulation, and the integral Picatinny-spec SIG rail accepts lights or lasers without adapters.
SIG’s short-reset trigger system shortens follow-up pull length, giving the shooter faster, more consistent double-action/single-action transitions. An external spur hammer and decocking lever provide traditional SIG ergonomics and safe carry options.
Factory SIGLITE tritium sights deliver a bright, three-dot picture in low light. Combined with the Nitro-hard slide and hard-coat anodized frame, these components equip the pistol for duty longevity and corrosion resistance.
