The MDT TAC21 chassis was Modular Driven Technologies’ inaugural product and remains notable for its straight-line recoil design. By placing the action in a rigid aluminum frame and adding an AR-style vertical grip, it improves ergonomics and allows the barrel to free-float for consistent accuracy.
A heavy-contour 20-inch carbon-steel barrel is parkerized to match the receiver. The barrel is fully free-floated inside the TAC21 forend, helping maintain point-of-impact stability during extended strings of fire.
The installed Timney single-stage match trigger offers a crisp break and shorter reset than the factory unit, giving the shooter a predictable trigger press that supports tighter groups.
A Magpul PRS Gen3 buttstock provides adjustable cheek height, butt-pad position, and length of pull. Combined with the chassis’ AR-compatible geometry, it lets the shooter fine-tune fit to body armor or shooting position.
The chassis’ integrated 0-MOA full-length Picatinny rail simplifies mounting optics, night-vision bridges, or clip-on thermals without the need for additional bases.
