A factory-pinned 14.5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel reaches the legal 16-inch length with an extended flash suppressor, giving shooters a compact handling feel without NFA paperwork. The lightweight profile barrel, free-float MFR 13.5 M handguard, and soft-touch furniture keep the rifle agile, durable, and ready for accessory mounting.

The SLW (Super Light Weight) configuration centers on a cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel that balances strength and reduced mass. The barrel’s 1:7 twist stabilizes the full range of modern 5.56 NATO projectiles, while the chrome lining promotes longevity under hard use.
Daniel Defense’s MFR 13.5 M free-float handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a full-length numbered Picatinny top rail plus plentiful M-LOK slots. QD sling sockets are machined into both the handguard and receiver end plate for quick, secure sling attachment.
The 7075-T6 forged receivers wear a Type III hard-coat anodized finish that matches the handguard. Soft-touch over-mold panels on the adjustable stock and pistol grip provide a positive, comfortable purchase in all conditions.
A mid-length, direct-impingement gas system smooths out recoil impulse and enhances reliability. The pinned extended flash suppressor retains standard 1/2-28 threads for future muzzle device changes if desired.
