St. Cloud-era DPMS rifles are sought after for their build quality and adherence to military-grade materials. This carbine features 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a hard-coat anodized finish, matched to a 16" 4150 chrome-lined barrel for extended service life and easier cleaning.
The AP4 configuration includes a flat-top upper receiver with an integral Picatinny rail and a detachable carry handle rear sight, offering flexibility for optics or iron-sight use. Up front, an F-marked A2 sight base anchors the carbine-length gas system, a proven setup for reliability with 5.56 NATO loads.
An aftermarket three-port muzzle brake reduces muzzle rise, helping the shooter stay on target during rapid strings of fire. The barrel’s 1/2x28 TPI threads let you swap devices if desired, while the 1:9 right-hand twist stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights.
The six-position polymer stock has been pinned to comply with jurisdictions that restrict adjustable stocks; it still offers a 14.0" length of pull that fits most shooters. Standard A2 polymer furniture and two-piece handguards keep weight down and maintenance simple.
