Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon Field 12 Ga Over/Under Shotgun, 28" Barrels, MobilChoke, 1997 M-Prefix
Made in Italy in 1997, this first-generation Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon Field combines the proven 680-series action with elegant factory engraving and versatile MobilChoke extended tubes. A side-plate receiver provides a broader canvas for the detailed floral scroll and game scenes, while Excelsior tri-alloy barrels deliver strength without excess weight. Dual 2 ¾" and 3" chambers let you choose light target loads or heavy field shells, making this shotgun equally at home on clays or upland birds.

The 687 action uses Beretta’s dual conical-lug lock-up, known for durability and low profile. Even after decades of service across the 680-series line, this design remains a benchmark for reliable over/under operation.
The coin-finished steel receiver carries factory-cut floral scroll with pheasant and partridge motifs, highlighting the upscale Silver Pigeon identity. Side-plates give the engraver more surface area than the standard 686, creating a distinctly refined look.
Excelsior tri-alloy steel 28-inch barrels are fitted with a ventilated rib and brass bead. MobilChoke extended tubes—from Skeet through Extra Full—provide immediate pattern flexibility without tools in the field.
The oil-finished walnut stock features crisp checkering, a right-hand cast-off, and a 14.75" length of pull. A soft recoil pad, pistol grip, and field-style forend deliver comfortable handling for long days on the range or in the uplands.
A tang-mounted manual safety with barrel selector and a gold-plated single-selective trigger round out the shooter-friendly controls, making this Silver Pigeon Field a practical yet collectible example of Beretta’s craftsmanship.
