The CZ 550 FS employs a controlled-round-feed action with a full-length claw extractor, ensuring reliable cycling of the 9.3x62mm cartridge even under adverse conditions. The square-bridge receiver is machined with integral 19 mm dovetail bases, allowing direct attachment of CZ rings without added mounts.
Its 20.5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is fitted with a hooded ramp post front sight and a two-leaf rear sight (one standing, one folding), giving quick sighting options for different distances while preserving the rifle’s classic European profile.
The oil-finished walnut stock is a true full-length Mannlicher pattern with a Bavarian comb, cheek-piece, checkered panels, schnabel tip, and ventilated rubber recoil pad. At 14.25 inches, the length of pull offers comfortable fit for most shooters.
