Product Description

    Astra Model 4000 “Falcon” .32 ACP Compact Semi-Automatic Pistol | 1965 Spanish Pre-Ban Import

Produced in 1965, this Astra Model 4000 “Falcon” represents the final refinement of Astra’s tube-slide pocket-pistol line. Chambered in .32 ACP and imported to the United States before the 1968 GCA points-system ban, it combines compact dimensions with a distinctive six-flute slide and screw-off muzzle collar. Matching serial numbers on the slide extractor lug and grip frame, original blued finish, and its factory box and manual make this example especially appealing to collectors of mid-century European automatics.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

This pistol exhibits minor scratching, scuffing, and blemishing on the exterior surfaces.

    What’s Included
    • Factory Astra Model 4000 Falcon cardboard box with matching-serial label
    • Astra Model 4000 “Falcon” owner’s manual
    • 2 × 7-round steel single-stack magazines

The Falcon’s tubular slide, fluted along its entire length, gives it a recognizable profile while reducing reciprocating weight. Field stripping is quick thanks to the knurled muzzle collar that unscrews to release the slide assembly—no tools required.

Built on a carbon-steel frame and slide, both finished in factory blue, the pistol uses a straight-blowback, single-action-only mechanism with an external round hammer. A heel magazine release, thumb safety, half-cock notch, and magazine disconnect provide multiple layers of manual and passive safety.

Fixed iron sights consist of an integral front blade and a drift-adjustable rear notch. The 3.9-inch barrel offers a full sight radius for a pistol in the compact class, and the clean bore retains well-defined rifling.

The molded black phenolic grips bear Astra logos and model banners, echoing the styling cues of earlier Astra pocket pistols dating back to the 1920s. With its pre-ban import status and matching-numbered components, this 4000 Falcon stands out as a well-preserved piece of Spanish firearms history.
