Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker .300 WSM Bolt-Action Rifle - 23" Sporter Barrel, Matte Blued Finish
This early-production Composite Stalker pairs Browning’s three-lug, 60° A-Bolt action with the then-new .300 Winchester Short Magnum chambering introduced in 2001. Built by Miroku in Japan, it features a lightweight composite stock, a sporter-contour steel barrel, and Browning’s tang safety with separate bolt-unlock button. The rifle comes ready for glass with quick-detach scope rings already installed, making it a practical, modern hunting setup that still shows collector appeal as one of the first A-Bolts chambered for .300 WSM.

Launched the same year the .300 WSM cartridge debuted, this rifle carries a 2001 "MZ" date code, placing it among the first A-Bolts chambered for the short-magnum round. That early status adds interest for Browning enthusiasts and cartridge collectors alike.
The three-lug bolt locks solidly while keeping bolt throw to 60°, promoting fast cycling without excessive bolt lift. Browning’s bolt-unlock button allows the action to be opened with the tang safety engaged, adding a practical safety layer when unloading.
The composite stock keeps weight down and resists weather. Molded checkering offers a consistent grip, integral bedding pillars promote shot-to-shot consistency, and a recoil pad tames the .300 WSM’s punch.
A hinged floorplate conceals the detachable box magazine, giving hunters quick reload capability without altering the rifle’s classic lines. The gold Buckmark on the trigger guard and the NP proof mark on the barrel confirm its Browning lineage and Miroku precision.
Finished in matte blued steel from muzzle to receiver, the rifle blends well in the field and minimizes glare. With the included quick-detach rings, it is set up for a scope of your choosing and is field-ready once zeroed.
