The SP9A1 uses a simple, reliable blowback system tuned for smooth cycling and reduced felt recoil in a compact 9mm platform. The non-reciprocating side charging handle stays forward while firing and can be swapped to either side to match shooter preference.
An 8-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2-28 TPI, ready for common 9mm suppressors or muzzle devices. The barrel’s compact length, combined with the folding Tailhook brace, keeps overall length minimal for storage or transport.
The monolithic 7075-T6 aluminum upper provides strength and rigidity, while the M-LOK handguard offers ample attachment real estate without added bulk. Flip-up polymer sights ship installed, and the full-length Picatinny rail allows quick optic mounting.
Ambidextrous controls include a paddle-style magazine release and bilateral safety selector, making the Stribog approachable for right- or left-handed shooters. Transparent magazines give an instant visual round count, and CIP proof marks alongside the Slovak coat-of-arms confirm European proofing standards.
