What’s Included
- Taylors & Co. No. 3 Schofield 2nd Model revolver
The revolver features a robust forged-steel frame and barrel finished in charcoal blue, matching the period-correct appearance while offering modern durability. The cylinder shares the same finish, creating a uniform, historically faithful profile.
A top-break action with a spur-style hammer allows quick one-handed operation. Opening the latch automatically actuates the star extractor, ejecting all six spent cases at once—exactly as the original Schofield was designed for cavalry use.
Smooth walnut grips carry a stamped 1877-style inspector’s cartouche and sit over color case-hardened grip-frame furniture, adding an authentic visual accent to the charcoal blue steel.
Fixed sights consist of a half-moon front blade and a square-notch rear milled into the barrel latch, mirroring the original sight picture while remaining rugged and snag-free.
Although faithful to 19th-century dimensions, the revolver is built from modern materials, CIP proof-tested, and fully compatible with current factory .45 Colt ammunition, giving shooters reliability alongside historical appeal.
