The heart of the PTR 9CT is its roller-delayed blowback action, machined on HK-licensed tooling for correct geometry and reliability. A tungsten-weighted dead-blow carrier softens recoil impulse, while the sear-ready shelf and full-auto profile carrier preserve original specification compatibility for qualified users.
The 8.86" nitride-treated barrel features both a tri-lug adapter and 1/2-28 UNEF threads, allowing direct attachment of most 9mm suppressors or flash hiders without additional adapters. A 1:10 RH twist stabilizes common bullet weights from subsonic to +P loads.
PTR’s free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard improves heat dissipation and provides 4.5" of mounting real estate for lights, lasers, and foregrips. The welded top rail offers a solid platform for red-dot optics while retaining a serial-number window for easy verification.
