The P238 Desert is a true micro 1911, scaling the classic platform down to pocket size while retaining a crisp single-action trigger, rowel hammer, and ambidextrous thumb safety. At just 15.2 oz empty and 5.5 in overall length, it carries comfortably yet provides a full set of controls familiar to 1911 shooters.
A Flat Dark Earth Nitron-coated slide houses green fiber-optic 3-dot sights that stand out in daylight, improving target acquisition over standard dots. Rear-only serrations give a secure grip when racking the slide.
The tan hard-anodized aluminum frame keeps weight low and resists corrosion. Wrap-around rubber grips with finger grooves enhance purchase, an asset on a pistol this compact.
Safety is handled by an ambidextrous thumb lever and an internal firing-pin block, allowing cocked-and-locked carry with confidence. The SAO trigger breaks cleanly and resets positively, supporting precise shot placement.
This example, bearing the 27C serial prefix and built on 20 July 2018, shows minimal handling marks and an excellent bore, indicating limited use. With both magazine sizes and the original case, it is range-ready or fit for daily carry straight from the box.
