The FN Five-seveN Mk2 pairs the flat-shooting 5.7x28mm cartridge with a lightweight, low-recoiling platform. This discontinued Mk2 variant features a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) frame, a polymer-over-steel slide, and a 20-round flush-fit magazine system that helped make the Five-seveN series a standout duty and personal-defense sidearm.

Built around a chrome-lined, cold-hammer-forged 4.8-inch barrel, the Five-seveN Mk2 maximizes barrel life while retaining the flat trajectory that defines the 5.7x28mm round. The delayed-blowback, internal-hammer system keeps felt recoil low, supporting fast follow-up shots and easy control.
The polymer-over-steel slide reduces reciprocating mass, which further softens recoil and promotes reliability. Fully adjustable three-dot sights allow precise zeroing, and the front blade is dovetailed for simple replacement if desired.
An ambidextrous manual safety and reversible magazine release make the pistol adaptable for right- or left-handed shooters. A five-slot MIL-STD-1913 rail molded into the frame provides a solid mounting point for lights or lasers.
This Mk2 model is no longer in production, having been superseded by the MRD-ready Mk3. As a result, clean Mk2 examples like this one—with its distinctive FDE frame and black slide—hold particular interest for collectors and shooters who favor the original configuration.
