What’s Included
- Two-piece Picatinny/Weaver scope bases (installed)
Howa’s Hogue Heavy Barrel variant centers on a 20-inch, free-floated barrel with a heavy contour and recessed crown. The extra mass helps manage heat for stable groups during extended strings, while the 1:10" twist rate is well suited to a wide range of .308 Win. bullet weights.
The barreled action is pillar-bedded in a black synthetic Hogue stock. The overmolded rubber surface provides a secure grip in wet or cold conditions, and a cushioned recoil pad softens felt recoil.
A HACT two-stage trigger, standard on Howa rifles since 2011, breaks cleanly and aids precise shot placement. The three-position safety lets you load or unload with the trigger locked, adding practical handling versatility.
An M16-style extractor and reliable ejector support consistent cycling, while the installed two-piece Picatinny/Weaver bases make it simple to mount the optic of your choice.
