Melonite-treated inside and out, the barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and capped with a low-profile muzzle brake, giving the shooter match-grade accuracy with reduced muzzle rise. The .223 Wylde chamber safely handles both .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO ammunition while tightening groups with quality match loads.
Springfield’s one-piece ATC aluminum chassis free-floats the barrel from chamber to muzzle. Continuous top Picatinny rail, ample M-LOK slots, and integral QD sling sockets let you customize optics and accessories while maintaining a rigid, harmonics-friendly structure. Accu-Tite tension screws eliminate receiver play for added consistency.
A flat-faced, single-stage match trigger breaks at a crisp 4.5 lb, helping the shooter capitalize on the rifle’s sub-MOA potential. The mid-length gas system smooths cycling and mitigates recoil, contributing to quicker follow-up shots.
