The GF3 series is known for its hammer-forged bolt, carrier, and front trunnion, components that enhance longevity under sustained use. This example carries the early “AKB” serial prefix, marking it as part of the initial GF3 production run.
The 16-inch nitrided barrel is threaded 14×1 LH and capped with a standard slant brake, ready for muzzle devices or suppressor mounts. A 1:9.5 RH twist stabilizes the full range of 7.62×39 loads.
Midwest Industries’ aluminum quad-rail and railed gas tube provide four Picatinny faces for lights, optics, or vertical grips without altering the rifle’s gas system. Despite the added rail space, the rifle keeps classic AK controls, including the right-side lever safety and 800-meter tangent rear sight.
The receiver incorporates a side optic rail, allowing quick attachment of AK side-mounts while retaining iron sights. A fixed polymer stock and Magpul MOE AK pistol grip in FDE deliver a solid, ergonomic interface.
Entirely U.S.-made and 922(r) compliant, this PSAK-47 GF3 offers shoppers a reliable AKM-pattern rifle with desirable upgrades straight from the factory.
